Rubber Dam & Collapsible Weir (Pneumatic Spillway Gate)

The Pneumatic Spillway Gate consists of an air bag, shield plates, and a control system. Once inflated, the air bag supports the shield plates, and its pressure-bearing capacity is crucial to the dam's performance. Huahai's Pneumatic Spillway Gates use high-strength cord fabric as the load-bearing skeleton and incorporate innovations in the molding process, such as layered fabric layout, to ensure uniform force distribution during inflation, enhancing strength and safety factors, and significantly extending the service life. The air bag is manufactured through integrated one-time molding and vulcanization processes, resulting in a seamless composite structure with excellent air tightness and balanced strength. This improves the bag’s elasticity, increases its burst resistance and impact fatigue endurance, and prolongs its service life.

Compared to rubber dams, the Pneumatic Spillway Gate facilitates better water exchange and reduces sediment deposition in the upstream river section. During flood seasons, it allows for rapid adjustment of river water levels. Typically, the gate can be fully inflated or lowered within 20–30 minutes. Moreover, the air bag is protected by the shield plates, preventing direct impact from water flow in both storage and discharge states. This reduces the effect of debris and sediment on the supporting components, thereby extending its service life.

02Rubber Gate with SpoilerDownload Catalog

A spoiler (also known as a flip bucket) is bonded to the downstream side of the rubber sluice using a cold vulcanization process. This spoiler lifts the flow over the dam crest, creating a trajectory angle. This action prevents vacuum formation downstream under certain flow depths, thereby reducing vibration and abrasion of the dam bag. Furthermore, it enhances the uniformity and spectacle of the overflowing waterfall, improving the overall aesthetic appeal of the rubber dam project.

03Fin Rubber GateDownload Catalog

This design features a cross-section resembling the spine of a book. The dam body has a smooth, seamless exterior, manufactured through one-time molding and vulcanization in the factory. The incorporation of the "spine" effectively increases the dam's transverse tension, mitigating vibration and impact from overflowing water.

05Pillow-Type Rubber GateDownload Catalog

The Pillow-Type Rubber Gate, named for its pillow-like shape, is primarily suited for low-head, large-span gate projects. It features vertical abutments and includes end bulkheads on the dam bag.

06 Arc-Shaped Rubber GateDownload Catalog

The Arc-Shaped Rubber Gate is a newer type derived from arch-shaped earth-rock dams. It incorporates structural innovations in the arc-shaped dam bag that emphasize its flexibility, making it adaptable to various geographical and geological conditions while maintaining functional performance and visual appeal.
