Recently, an expert group from the China Diving & Salvage Industry Association paid a research visit to Qingdao Huahai Environmental Industry Co., Ltd. The two sides held in-depth discussions in the conference room. They exchanged views and conducted joint research on water emergency rescue, supporting equipment for oil spill response, and the joint formulation of industrial standards, exploring in-depth cooperation paths integrating diving salvage and environmental pollution prevention equipment sectors.

During the discussion, the person in charge of Huahai Environmental introduced the company’s development layout and R&D achievements of full-range emergency anti-pollution equipment to the visiting leaders of the association. The presentation focused on the research, development and practical application of containment equipment supporting underwater emergency rescue, emergency oil recovery devices, and protective products for special working conditions.
Combined with practical pain points in frontline river, lake and offshore salvage operations across China, experts from the association shared the current development status of the industry. For complex emergency scenarios such as sunken ship salvage accompanied by sudden water oil spills and underwater oil pollution cleanup, they analyzed existing shortcomings of available equipment and put forward directions for product optimization based on real industrial operations.
As a high-tech enterprise specializing in water environmental protection equipment, Huahai Environmental supplies a full range of products including standard oil booms, fire-retardant oil booms, shipborne oil recovery machines and more. Its products are widely deployed in maritime emergency response, marine engineering and inland river rescue projects. Meanwhile, the China Diving & Salvage Industry Association has long been engaged in domestic underwater emergency rescue, sunken vessel clearance and water disaster relief, bringing together high-quality industrial resources and frontline practical expertise.
Drawing on their respective strengths, the two sides reached a preliminary consensus on an integrated solution combining salvage rescue and oil spill prevention & control. They plan to leverage the association’s industry platform to deploy special emergency equipment in actual rescue scenarios, and feed on-site operational feedback back to drive iterative product R&D.
This exchange visit bridged the communication gap between equipment manufacturers and emergency operation practitioners. Moving forward, Huahai Environmental will align its R&D work with the practical demands of the diving and salvage industry, developing lightweight, portable anti-pollution equipment tailored for underwater rescue scenarios. The company will also utilize the association’s resources to conduct industry adaptation verification for its products, support the refined upgrading of China’s national water emergency response system, and jointly strengthen the emergency protection chain for the country’s aquatic environment.
