Introduction to the Oil Spill Detection System

The intelligent waterborne oil spill detection and alarm system addresses the challenges of oil spill monitoring and represents advanced global oil spill detection technology with wide-ranging applications worldwide. The system integrates the reliable HHOSD-3000 oil spill detector, enabling early detection of sudden oil spill incidents, rapid response, scientific decision-making, and loss reduction to achieve environmental protection objectives. In practical applications, it enhances the oil spill monitoring capabilities of relevant authorities, playing a significant role in reducing accident risks and protecting the environment.

Operating Principle of Oil Spill Detection and Transmission

Via the electronic chart at the monitoring center of the oil spill detection and alarm system, once an oil spill occurs in the monitored area, the onsite audible and visual alarm is triggered immediately. This first alerts operators and port safety personnel at the site to inspect the spill situation. Simultaneously, the integrated data acquisition and transmission device sends the information via the GPRS network to the monitoring center. A preset audible and visual alarm is activated on the electronic chart, indicating an exceedance of oil spill levels. Additionally, a snapshot camera automatically captures an image of the spill, facilitating timely understanding of the onsite situation. The system can also send alarm SMS messages to relevant personnel, notifying them of the oil spill emergency.

Monitoring Principle of the Oil Spill Detection and Alarm System

The system uses a built-in fluorescence emitter to project a conical ultraviolet pulse downward onto the water surface. The fluorescence reflected back to the sensor passes through a specialized filtering device and is analyzed by the monitoring system to determine whether the water surface contains alkane or aromatic hydrocarbon molecules. The system can detect a variety of oil-based molecules.
